Did you know these interesting facts?

1. Currently in TN, it is ILLEGAL for a dairy farmer to sell clean, fresh raw milk directly to the public, unless it is for pet consumption.

2. Conventional dairy farmers in TN are paid about $1 per gallon for their milk. They are losing their farms at an astonishing rate. Raw milk dairy farmers are paid about $7 per gallon. Their farms are growing.

3. In 33 out of 50 states in the US, it is perfectly legal to sell raw milk to the public. Some states even "certify" their raw milk dairies.

What is going on? Why is Tennessee so behind the times?

BIG NEWS! As of January 1, 2010, If you include both goat and cow, there are now officially MORE RAW MILK DAIRIES in the state of TN than there are commercial milk dairies. Wow! What an accomplishment! All due to consumer demand!
